This policy explains what personal information Scribbling Dubai collects through scribblingdubai.com and The Snail Squad, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Scribbling Dubai (trade licence no. 1272168) is run by Nidhi Dokania in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at nidhi@scribblingdubai.com.
What we collect
- Enquiries. Your name, phone number, email address, event details and whatever you write in your message when you use the contact form, and anything you send us by WhatsApp, Instagram or email.
- Snail Squad orders. Your email address, name, delivery address and phone number, the name the letter should be addressed to, a birthday month, and any gift message. Card details are entered on the Stripe checkout page. We never see or store them.
- Website visits. Basic statistics such as pages viewed, the site you came from, approximate location and browser type, collected through Jetpack Stats and Google Analytics (which uses cookies), plus the cookies the website needs to work.
How we use it
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes.
- To pack, personalise and deliver Snail Squad envelopes.
- To manage subscriptions, cancellations and questions about payments.
- To keep the records a business is required to keep.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Children
Snail Squad envelopes are often addressed to children. The child’s name and birthday month are given to us by a parent or guardian and are used only to personalise and deliver the envelope. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. A parent or guardian can ask us to correct or delete a child’s details at any time.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, which processes payments.
- Our delivery partner, which delivers envelopes.
- Automattic (Jetpack), which provides our contact form and site statistics.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics for website statistics.
- Our website hosting provider.
- WhatsApp and Instagram, if you choose to message us there.
Some of these providers store information outside the United Arab Emirates.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for 3 months. We keep order and subscription records while your subscription is active and for 1 year afterwards.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email nidhi@scribblingdubai.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
